Professional Development
From hosting Public Speaking Seminars, hosting Department of State representatives, and partnering with KAPLAN Test Prep services, DPE offers sisters a wide range of professional development opportunities. Sisters have enjoyed prepping for careers at coffee chats, resume and cover letter workshops, and mock interviews. To become stronger global professionals, at DPE sisters give Around the Globe Presentations at weekly chapter meetings to educate the membership about a global topic of choice.

Philanthropy
Annually, DPE supports a different international cause. Along with fundraisers for these organizations, sisters keep themselves busy with community service activities in the Lansing-East Lansing area. For the 2018-2019 academic year, DPE is supporting the Baobei Foundation, which provides life-saving surgical procedures and care for Chinese orphaned infants.

Sisters helped raise over $1,000 for the Cassie Hines Foundation
DPE hosts local East Lansing families and raises money for Special Days Camps, an organization that provides a memorable camp experience for children with cancer and their siblings at the Greek-sponsored Safe Halloween
Sisters and friends participated in the 24-hour long Relay for Life, supporting the American Cancer Foundation

Sisterhood
As a professional foreign service sorority, DPE encourages lifelong bonds amongst sisters. DPE has Bigs and Littles to help pledges transition into sisterhood and to help sisters form closer relationships within their Big and Little families. Additionally, the Sisterhood Committee helps facilitate this by hosting events such as international Friendsgiving potlucks, Cider Mill trips, and annual sisterhood trips to a different out-of-state city. Sisters also help each other academically and get down to business during study hours.
