Our HerStory

Delta Phi Epsilon Professional Foreign Service Sorority is a non-Greek affiliated organization that operates on our three pillars of philanthropy, professional development, and sisterhood.

Originally Delta Phi Epsilon began a professional foreign service fraternity at Georgetown University in 1920. In the fall of 1972, the Fraternity's Alpha Chapter at Georgetown University conceived of an entirely new approach: Delta Phi Epsilon would henceforth consist of both a Delta Phi Epsilon Professional Foreign Service Fraternity and a Delta Phi Epsilon Professional Foreign Service Sorority and thereby would at last have both brothers and sisters. The founding of Delta Phi Epsilon Professional Foreign Service Sorority occurred at Alpha Chapter House on February 24, 1973 in Washington D.C.

[…] And the rest is DPE history. Michigan State University’s Mu Chapter was recolonized by Kathryn Doyal and Brienn Sauer in the summer of 2015. Since that time, our chapter has introduced a new class every fall and spring semester!
